My Golden Whistler - singing his heart out...

Our island supports many bird species, so understandably my selection remains incomplete. Just the same, I'm sure you'll enjoy viewing birds that I've spent many hours spotting and 'shooting'. There's a story behind every one of them - and if you have the time, I'd be only too pleased to tell you some of them - like how I managed to call the Golden Whistler out of the bush around our home by answering his call for a few minutes - until finally he appeared and presented himself  sideways-on, in splendid sunshine, whistling his heart out to tell me in the nicest possible way that I was getting a bit too close to his territory!

... and a few of our four-legged friends

The albino wallaby from Bruny Island might surprise you ... but then, so might the Tassie Devil!

Finally: there are even some birds from our 'North Island' for you to choose from...

Unable to restrain myself - and yet at all times loyal to my Tassie connections - I have included here some birds you're not likely to see in our island home - but just too lovely to leave out!
